Akash Nawbatt

Akash Nawbatt is a barrister at Devereux Chambers. He was called to the Bar in 1999 and his principal areas of practice are employment, employment-related tax and sport litigation. Akash has extensive experience of appearing in a wide range of forums, from specialist tribunals to the Supreme Court. He is recommended as a leading junior by both Chambers and Partners and  the Legal 500. In 2011, Akash became a member of the Panel of Counsel for the Equality and Human Rights Commission and in 2013 became one of the Attorney General's Junior Counsel to the Crown (A Panel). Between 2001 and 2002, he was the Judicial Assistant to the Senior Law Lord (Lord Bingham). Akash graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge in 1998 and is a contributing editor to Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law.
