Akhlaq Ur-Rahman Choudhury QC is a barrister at 11 King’s Bench Walk Chambers.  He is a specialist in Employment and Business Protection and Public and Information Law. . Before taking silk, Akhlaq was consistently recommended as a leading employment junior in Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500. He has particular experience in multi-party litigation and is currently involved in some of the major equal value disputes making their way through Tribunals in addition to various claims brought by former newspaper employees in the phone-hacking scandal. Akhlaq graduated in Physics from Glasgow University in 1988 and achieved a first-class honours degree from London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in 1991.  He was called to the Bar in 1992, was appointed as a Recorder on the South East Circuit in 2009 and took silk in 2015. Akhlaq was also voted as one of the top 100 in the British Bangladeshi Power & Inspiration list.
