Bobbie Cheema QC is a barrister at 2 Hare Court Chambers. She specialises in homicide, terrorism, fraud and corruption and also has an extensive advisory practice spanning from corporate fraud, high profile homicide, and cold case reviews, through to financial, medical and other regulations. In 2011 Bobbie was appointed Senior Treasury Counsel at the Old Bailey, the second woman to be appointed to that role and has been on the  ‘A’ Panel of the Attorney General’s List for many years. She hit the headlines in 2014 as the prosecution counsel in the case against the part-time judge, Constance Briscoe who was convicted for perverting the course of justice.

Bobbie is also authorised to sit as a Deputy High Court judge and a Crown Court Recorder with Appeals and Rape authorisations. Outside of the court room she chaired the Advocacy Training Council working group whose report, “Raising the Bar: The Handling of Vulnerable Witnesses, Victims and Defendants in Court” has been welcomed by the Criminal Bar Association, the judiciary and government departments.

Bobbie was called to the Bar in 1989 and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2013.
