She undertakes a full range of contentious, non-contentious and transactional employment work and her particular expertise is acting for clients in High Court claims in relation to restrictive covenants and team moves and bonuses, and in high value employment tribunal claims, such as whistle-blowing and discrimination claims.

She joined Herbert Smith Freehill (then Herbert Smith) as a trainee solicitor in 1998, qualified in 2000 and became a senior associate there before she joined Eversheds.

She is described by independent legal directories as “highly regarded for her work across a broad range of employment issues” and is listed as a leading individual in Employment Law by Chambers and Partners and by the Legal 500. She was named Outstanding Solicitor of the Year 2013 by the Black Solicitors' Network and as one of the 10 most influential Nigerian lawyers in the UK by the Nigerian Law Digest. Fiona is also Company Secretary of the Employment Lawyers' Association (an apolitical organisation representing the views and interests of 6,000 specialist, qualified employment lawyers in the UK).
