Nike Balogun was appointed as a fee-paid Employment Tribunals judge in May 2003, sitting in Cardiff for two and a half years then in Southampton for four years. In November 2009 she was appointed as a salaried part-time Employment Tribunal Judge sitting in Croydon. Nike was admitted as a solicitor in 1992, having trained at Alliance & Leicester (now part of Santander) where she worked as an in-house lawyer until 1994. She spent 14 years as in-house lawyer for the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF), advising its members on Employment Law issues and representing them before Employment Law Tribunals.
