Patricia Tuitt

Patricia Tuitt is a Professor and the Executive Dean at the Birkbeck College School of Law. She teaches courses on the Law of the European Union, the Law of Obligations 11 (Tort) and Refugee Law. Her research focuses on forced migration, critical race theory, Law and narrative forms, human rights, and Law and post coloniality. She has published widely in the field of International Refugee Law, including her two monographs Race, Law, Resistance and False Images: Law's Construction of the Refugee. Patricia joined Birkbeck as a lecturer in Law in 1998, having previously been a lecturer in Law at the University of East London.
