Shalini Bhuchar became a partner in the Asset Finance practice at Hogan Lovells in 2015 and is a member of its core Africa team. She has experience in a broad range of cross-border asset finance work, including aviation, shipping, plant and equipment transactions, as well as general banking transactions acting for banks, lessors, airlines, shipping companies and private equity firms.

Shalini's range of asset finance work for her clients include loan and lease financings, single asset and portfolio disposals and acquisitions.

She was recommended as a top business lawyer in England by Corporate Jet Investor in 2012. She was also named Advisor of the Month by Finance Monthly Magazine for her role in the $2 billion aircraft financing transaction for Kenya Airways of Embraer and Boeing Aircraft – winning accolades throughout the industry. 

Shalini graduated from the University of Nottingham, where she also obtained her Masters in Economic Development and Policy Analysis. She speaks Swahili.
